COVID-19 UPDATE | DECEMBER 18, 2020

Friends and Family of Santa Marta,

We know that you’re all anxiously awaiting the announcement of the COVID-19 vaccination at Santa Marta. We’re continuing to monitor the situation and we’re awaiting the direction from the CDC. As soon as dates are confirmed, we will work with healthcare authorities to ensure timely vaccine distribution at our community.

Our latest internal testing of our healthcare staff and residents uncovered no new cases on our campus. Currently one healthcare resident and six employees have the virus. Three of our employees are expected to make a full recovery this weekend. The impacted healthcare resident remains isolated in the COVID unit and our staff continues to monitor them.

As a reminder, we have resumed indoor visitations in independent living with strict safety precautions in place. We have also reopened our dining room and have resumed some activities. Out of precaution, outdoor visitations in healthcare have been suspended temporarily. To ensure everyone’s safety, we encourage window visits, video calls and using social media to stay connected with your loved ones.
