COVID-19 UPDATE | AUGUST 14, 2020

Friends and Family of Santa Marta,

It’s a pleasure to share another round of great news this week. Our community remains in good spirits and in good health with no active cases of COVID-19.

To maintain this positive trajectory, we remain vigilant with our ongoing bi-weekly testing efforts for all healthcare staff. We completed around 200 tests on Wednesday the 12th. The 75 results we have received back so far have all been negative.

Outdoor visitations for residents in our health center continue to proceed with strict adherence to safety protocols. Beginning on Monday, August 17, visitation times will increase to 30 minutes and residents will be permitted to have up to two visits per week. We have also resumed haircuts for residents, with prudent use of masks and other PPE, as well as proper hand hygiene. However, this service is limited in skilled nursing.

We extend our deepest gratitude to residents, team members and families for their tremendous effort, sacrifice and cooperation from the onset of this pandemic. Your continued support has helped make this all possible.
